Competitive conditions in development finance

چکیده

This paper evaluates the competitive conditions in development finance and implications for successfully mobilising private sector order to achieve United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Using a market definition of cross-border finance, analysis uses financial data 61 banks from FitchConnect 2010–2019 applies Panzar–Rosse test, supplemented with additional tests equilibrium, gauge conditions. The key finding is that international long-term equilibrium structured as oligopoly. implication successful mobilisation will require more innovative structural funding solutions. Crowding-in on existing terms large scale likely fall short due lack profitability risk appetite. has direct ability global system deliver SDGs.
